Scientific profile
Graduated from the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw. In 2021, she defended with distinction her doctoral thesis in the field of immunoparasitology. Biologist with many years of experience in parasitological, immunological, microbiological, molecular, proteomic and genetic techniques.
She has co-authored numerous original and review scientific papers. She has presented her research results at more than a dozen national and international conferences, of which 5 presentations were awarded. She willingly participates in popular science events. She is a member of the Polish Society of Parasitology and the Polish Society of Experimental and Clinical Immunology.
As part of her scientific work, she studies compounds produced by nematodes with therapeutic potential in the treatment of autoimmune and cancer diseases.
From 2018 to 2022, she worked as an engineering and technical specialist in the Independent Laboratory of Parasitology at the Military Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Warsaw. In 2013, she completed an ERASMUS internship at the Institute of Infection, Immunity & Inflammation, University of Glasgow, Scotland. She participated in the training courses of the European School of Immunology organised by the European Association of Immunological Societies. She led the Prelude Project No. 2017/25/N/NZ6/01523 entitled ‘Effect of nematode sex on the mechanism of dendritic cell-mediated immune response inhibition’ funded by the National Science Centre.
She is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Experimental Immunotherapy, Faculty of Medicine, Lazarski University.
